POSITION GOAL

The Associate Healthcare Data Analyst will focus on understanding database structures and data content, developing reliable SQL-based data access, and serving as the primary resource for database development so that UI/UX, ETL (SSIS), and Data Visualization developers can concentrate on their respective areas. This role emphasizes learning, ownership, and sound technical fundamentals.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Learn and maintain an understanding of database schemas, table relationships, and data meaning
• Develop and maintain SQL queries, views, and stored procedures.
• Create and support CRUD procedures for front-end and application development.
• Refactor existing queries as data sources or requirements change.
• Support Microsoft SQL Server databases used by applications and internal systems.
• Assist with monitoring database performance and resource usage.
• Identify inefficient or fragile SQL patterns and help improve them.
• Participate in database hardening efforts, including permissions and security best practices.
• Use linked servers and external connections (such as Snowflake or other data platforms).
• Collaborate with UI/UX, ETL (SSIS), and Data Visualization developers
• Document database structures, procedures, and data access logic
• Use AI-based tools to accelerate coding, troubleshooting, and learning when appropriate.
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of SQL and database concepts independent of AI tools
• Be able to write, review, and debug SQL code without reliance on AI assistance
• Validate AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security

Some additional responsibilities might include:

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Experience:

Required:

• One year or more experience working in a Healthcare IT Department

Preferred:

• Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, JavaScript, and ASP.NET.
• Experience with data engineering tools like SQL Server Integration Services, Azure Data Factory, or Snowflake.
• Strong skills and experience with database systems such as MSSQL (T-SQL) or IBM DB2, or cloud-based solutions such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL, and data governance.
• Experience with data modeling, data architecture, and data pipeline development.

Education:

Required:

• One year diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Programming or related field.

Special Qualifications:

Required:

• Valid Driver’s License, satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR) and proof of insurance required for position on-boarding.
• Annual MVR may be required per policy and procedure; background reports may be ran as needed throughout the course of employment.
• Demonstrate programming proficiency in C#, SQL, ASP.NET.
• Proven attention to detail and high level of organization and accuracy.
• Proficiency in operating computer applications.
• Logical thinking.
• Excellent analytical skills.
