HR Education Coordinator Full Time

Department: Human Resources
Location: Columbus, GA

Position Goal

Assists in the organizing of the Human Resources functions for Hughston, which includes recruitment, onboarding, education, and orientation.

Position Responsibilities:

Education:

  • Responsible for consistent outreach to area schools; building and maintaining relationships to ensure a pipeline of talent for Hughston.
  • Schedule and attend job/career fairs accordingly.
  • Serves as contact for Hughston Education Program-coordinating with schools/participants
    • Sending and following up on affiliation agreements
    • Keep affiliation agreement roster is up to date
  • Manage student requests via ATS system, email, phone and referral
  • Coordinate requests with department managers for placement (if available)
  • Coordinates with hiring manager if candidate needs to shadow physician
  • Provide HEP packet to all approved students
    • Check all packets to ensure complete and accurate based on request (Shadow/Clinical)
    • Check for up to date COI for students with affiliation agreements (school or student-varies by school)
    • Keep roster with all student activity (type, location, dates, etc…)
  • Coordinate with JHMH Education Coordinator/HCO-students at more than one facility
  • Conduct Hughston monthly orientation (as needed)
  • Conduct HSC orientation monthly (as needed)
  • Review competency packets for completeness and accuracy-JHMH and HSC
  • Assist HR Leadership with Annual Update (Hughston) and Annual Education (JHMH)-as needed

Recruitment:

  • Conducts Hughston Tours for all New Hires/Students/Candidates as needed.
  • Coordinates Hughston Hospitality Days by providing tours to selected groups/students etc…
  • Attend at least (1) training class per quarter (as available).
  • Answers phone, email and fax requests in a timely manner.
  • Assists HR Leadership with ongoing projects or assignments as needed
  • Supports HR policies and objectives for Hughston.
  • Provides timely information to all levels of HR staff on issues as appropriate.
  • Responsible for ensuring confidentiality of all HR matters.
  • Serves as back-up for Recruiters and other staff as needed

Experience:

Required:

  • Two (2) years of Human Resources, Marketing, Business office or equivalent related experience required.

Preferred:

One year of recruitment experience preferred.

Education: Associates degree required.

Special Qualifications:

Required:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products required. 
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be able to multi-task and strong attention to detail.
  • Must have organizational and problem solving ability.
  • Must have excellent communication skills (oral and written). 
  • Must be able to demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • This position requires working under established deadlines and/or stressful situations.
